You know I love discovering those hidden gems just outside the city, and today, I wanted to share a truly special find that has captured my heart: The Roost Cafe in King City, Ontario! If you’re looking for a charming escape with incredible vibes, delicious treats, and beautiful greenery and landscape, you have to add this spot to your must-visit list.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the gorgeous, exterior of The Roost. It feels like stepping back in time, yet with all the modern comforts you wish for. The vibrant yellow wood posts and hanging flower baskets create such a welcoming entrance.

But the charm doesn’t stop at the exterior! Inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I loved the classic striped wallpaper and the sense of stepping into a cherished home. There are so many unique details that make this place feel truly special.

One of the highlights of my visit was enjoying their fantastic outdoor space. The Roost has a lovely patio with plenty of seating. It is perfect for soaking up the sun. You can also enjoy the fresh air there. And let me tell you, the view from the patio is stunning!

Now, let’s talk about the food and drinks because, let’s be real, that’s a huge part of any cafe experience! I indulged in their beautifully crafted matcha latte with the prettiest latte art – almost too good to drink! And for a bite, I couldn’t resist their avocado toast, perfectly topped with chili flakes for that extra kick. Both were absolutely delicious and made for the perfect mid-day treat. It was the ideal fuel for my little King City adventure.

While I was there, I couldn’t help but wonder about the story behind such a delightful place. It sparked so many questions in my mind that I’d love to ask the owners:

• What inspired them to open this beautiful cafe?
• Is there one menu item that holds a special story for them?
• What’s their personal go-to drink or snack when they’re looking for a little pick-me-up?
• What feeling or experience do they hope guests take away from their visit?
• What’s one thing they want everyone to know about their cafe?
